It has been lovely to meet new parents, carers and children at our nursery consultation meetings. Welcome to the Whitefriars family. The children and parents had the opportunity to get a real feel of our nursery and this has been invaluable to ensure they have a wonderful start in September.
GCSEs have started this week. The pupils have been brilliant. Their effort, determination and positivity continue to demonstrate their embracement of our Whitefriars values. There is breakfast every day for those that have a morning exam and bespoke final revision sessions before every exam. Year 6 took part in a reward day to celebrate their hard work during the SATs. They played chess, scrabble, table tennis, learnt origami and took part in various mindfulness activities. Very well deserved!
Year 1 pupils enjoyed a fantastic visit to Chalfont St Giles where they visited the pond, local church and high street. They had a fantastic talk about the village’s history and explored some very delicate paintings. Year 1 also took part in a story time session run by the NHS where they learnt all about how to keep their teeth clean. They even learnt how animals also keep their teeth healthy.
Year 12 pupils have received training and on how to complete their personal statements for their university applications. As always, we are supporting them every step of the way.
Have a great week everyone.
