Mission, Swimming and Singing

Welcome back to the new half term. It is that lovely time of year when we conclude this academic year whilst simultaneously planning for another great academic year in September.

I always start a half term by reminding everyone of our core mission and belief. We believe that anyone can learn anything. We do not believe that some pupils are bright and that others are not. We believe in the limitless capacity for everyone to achieve great things. It is in this context that I am proud of the Year 11 pupils as they continue with their GCSEs. They will soon have a well-deserved summer break whilst we plan the start of their Sixth Form education. How lovely that our pupils experience a joined-up education all the way from Nursery to A-Level.

This week our amazing primary section singing assemblies continue, Year 5 continue their swimming lessons and KS2 are taking part in a cricket competition. Next week we are launching lots of new clubs. There is a new clubs day for the secondary section and a new programme of daily clubs for primary pupils. I look forward to hearing all about these wonderful opportunities.

Year 12 pupils are all going to the National UCAS Fair tomorrow at the University of East London. This is invaluable as they prepare their University applications and personal statements.

Have a great week all.
