Enhanced Sixth Form Dining Experience – Fuel Your Day, Fuel Your Performance

As part of this exciting change, we are also introducing an enhanced food offer for our Sixth Form students, designed to provide a more independent and contemporary dining experience.

The new menu will feature a range of freshly prepared, street food-inspired dishes and café-style options, including high-protein meals, wraps, rice bowls, hot specials, healthy snacks and grab-and-go choices. These options have been carefully developed to appeal to young adults while continuing to meet the nutritional standards expected within a school environment.

The offer has been designed to support active lifestyles, including students participating in the Whitefriars Basketball Academy and other sporting activities. The emphasis will be on nutritious, balanced meals that help fuel learning, wellbeing, training and performance throughout the day.

Students will be able to enjoy a relaxed, casual café-style dining environment that offers greater choice, flexibility and variety than a traditional school meal service. Whether preparing for an afternoon of study, training for a fixture or simply meeting friends at lunchtime, our new food offer aims to provide healthy, convenient and great-tasting options throughout the school day.

We encourage your child to purchase a main meal at lunchtime from our school. Your child will be able to choose from a variety of options, including meat and vegetarian. All the meat is halal. The cost is £2.85 per day and includes a main meal and a hot dessert/accompaniment. You can click the images below to see the daily lunch menus, lunchtime meal deals and mid-morning items which can be purchased at breaktime. A selection of drinks is also available.

Free School Eligibility

Schools receive additional funding for children who are entitled to free school meals and we use this money to the benefit of your child, i.e. to fund school trips, music tuition and receive free items of school uniform. We encourage you to claim your entitlement even though your child will be receiving a free school meal under the new funding, as you could receive many additional benefits.

The Eligibility Checker is available on the following link free school meals eligibility checker and you will need your National Insurance Number and Date of Birth to apply. Please contact the school office if you need any assistance.

How to pay

Please pay in advance for meals using parent pay. Please log in using your username and password and you will be able to deposit funds into your child’s account. If you are unsure of your parent pay username or password, then please contact the school reception. Pupils will not be able to buy items from our dining room without money on their account. Please click here if you have any questions or need help using ParentPay. You can also read the handy New Parent Guide for further helpful information including account activation.
