At Whitefriars we offer a number of different routes into the wonderful career of teaching, the two main ways are either a salaried or unsalaried route. Please see below for details:

Salaried

Salaried courses are most suited to applicants who are already working as unqualified teachers or teaching assistants or applicants who have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. If you pursue a salaried route, you will be employed by a school. Your Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) fees will most likely be paid by the employing school. Although if you opt for the QTS & PGCE route, you may be required to pay the PGCE fees.

Non-Salaried (fee funded)

If you choose a non-salaried route, you must pay course fees and will not earn a salary whilst training to teach. Applicants can apply for a student loan, regardless of if they have had one for other postgraduate training. Applicants may be eligible for a scholarship or bursary to train to teach certain secondary subjects.
